Actually, I really like design, but dunno why i'm choosing computer science. I think it is fate! Huhuhuhu. Anyway, syukur my life goes well till today. Ummmmm..... this event organized by B.Sc. Industrial Design student at UTM (of course!). Give them an A grade for organizing, C for promotion and a bright star for future event. Lets see it!
What Industrial Designers Do
An industrial designer is someone that takes the products we use in everyday life and makes them fit into our lives in the best way possible. They take a product or service from a manufacturer and further develop and improve the concept in an attempt to benefit the company and consumer. When a company hires an industrial designer they want him/her to make their product fit best with the consumer yet be profitable to them in regards to production and marketing costs.
Industrial designers have most likely had a hand in almost every kind of product you use including electronics, furniture, transportation and any working gadget around the house. They understand that if something is uncomfortable or awkward to use it will not be a success in the market. They can also be hired by a company to help develop and design a new slogan or business concept. The designer will analyze how it will fit in with the company's goals and the customer's expectation.
